EVS Technician

The Environmental Services Technician will perform a variety of cleaning tasks under general direction by maintaining facilities in a clean, sanitary, orderly, and attractive environment for visitors and employees.

Daily Operations

• Clean and disinfect all floors, corridors, walls, restrooms and the exterior of the building daily, and as needed.

• Remove all waste daily and more often if needed.

• May be required to drive to different locations as requested by the supervisor.

• Assists in moving and setting up furniture/equipment in offices.

• Perform any other task or duty as assigned by manager, supervisor, or team leader

• Ability to correspond verbally in English with visitors and other staff or employees.

• Able to operate and train other to operate cleaning equipment, such as, but not limited to, vacuum sweeper, auto scrubber, battery operated vacuum, carpet extractor.

• Must be responsible for job knowledge and abilities including understanding and applying policies and procedures, information received during orientation, on the job training and requests of supervisor.

• Performs all duties as requested.

Requirements

• Ability to read and write and understand written and oral communications

• Must have open availability.

• Able to mix cleaning chemicals for work area.

• Able to operate cleaning equipment.

• Must have open availability

• Position requires mobility and ability to move, lift, push, and pull equipment & supplies.

• Must be able to stand, walk and/or continuously move around.

• Knowledge of cleaning and infection control techniques/protocols.
