EVS Supervisor
Supervises an area of responsibility for the EVS department; ensures a consistently high level of environmental hygiene and aesthetics to visitors and staff.
Daily Operations
Monitor and ensure compliance with departmental standards and regulatory requirements.
Supervise workers and coach for improvement.
Review performance and assesse competency.
Recommends the hiring, firing, promotion, demotion, merit increase, transfers and/or discipling of employees and other personnel changes.
Conducts inspections in designated area and logs results.
Responds quickly to issues, concerns, or requests and resolves them in a timely manner.
May be required to drive to different locations upon request.
Perform any other task or duty as assigned by manager or team leader.
Operate and train other to operate cleaning equipment, such as, but not limited to, vacuum sweeper, auto scrubber, battery operated vacuum, carpet extractor.
Must be responsible for job knowledge and abilities including understanding and applying policies and procedures.
Performs all duties as requested.
Requirements
Must have open availability
Position requires mobility and ability to move, lift, push, and pull equipment & supplies.
Must be able to stand, walk and/or continuously move around.
Knowledge of cleaning and infection control techniques/protocols.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and work well with others, using tact, diplomacy and discretion when discussing confidential employee, other staff and visitors related issues.
Experience in environmental services practices required.
Attends staff meetings.
Working knowledge of basic cleaning equipment.
Able to communicate via two way radio maintaining a professional work ethic.
